Pegler Yorkshire’s new rod extrusion plant at Doncaster will reduce energy consumption by about 30%.

Pegler Yorkshire has installed a new rod-extrusion plant for manufacturing brass products for the plumbing and heating industries. It is part of a £12-million, 3-year investment programme and is said to be the only fully integrated rod-extrusion production plant in the UK. It enables Pegler Yorkshire to avoid the volatilities of the markets.

Production director Graham Fawcett, said, ‘We are delighted with our new plant. The opportunity to increase production of our brass bar and to keep this manufacturing heritage at Doncaster is an exciting one.
