Gilberts introduces natural-ventilation system
Gilberts (Blackpool) describes its Mistrale 100 natural-ventilation system as an ‘all-embracing package of the components required for a robust, efficient and effective natural-ventilation system that helps specifiers meet the requirements of Part F and Part L of the Building Regulations. The system’s components include ultra-fine secure intakes, insulated volume control damper, heating or cooling coil to temper incoming air, covering fascia grille and intake/exhaust penthouse roof turrets.
The system is suitable for stack-effect or wind-driven systems. Options include window, low-level floor, underfloor or over-ceiling installation. The opening of windows is not required.
The patented external-louvre design achieves Class A weather resistance in an economical single-bank assembly. In addition, the patented dual insulated blade damper design has a fully insulated casing with very low leakage when closed, when its U-value is 1.6 W/m2/K — equivalent to a high-specification double-glazed window.
Intake/extract roof turrets can be designed for wind-driven or stack-effect systems. They have a single bank of blades and are suitable for flat and pitched roofs.
The matching controls package uses CO2 and temperature sensors to manage the relationship between airflow, temperature and air quality to maintain the optimum indoor environment.
Offered as standard in six model configurations, the Mistrale 100 system can be specified in a pick-and-mix selection.
