Unvented water heater is maintenance free
Santon has added a slimline, maintenance-free unvented water heater to its range. Aquaheat SS is made in the UK and available as 50, 80 and 100 l models. These units can be installed vertically or horizontally, on a wall or in ceiling voids or cupboards.
The cylinder is made from high-grade Duplex stainless steel, making the Aquaheat SS particularly suited to hard-water areas without the need for a sacrificial anode to prevent scaling — so there is no need for regular maintenance checks or replacements.
Safety features include a combination non-return pressure-relief and drain valve and temperature-relief valve set at 90°C at 10 bar. There is also an over-temperature capillary cut off set at 85°C. All units are pressure tested to 15 bar.
There is a 10-year on-site parts and labour warranty against leakage from the inner cylinder. All other parts have a 2-year on-site parts and labour warranty.
