Well over a hundred TMV3 thermostatic valves from Sirrus by Gummers ensure safety in a dementia care home and retirement care community.

Hot water at safe temperatures is provided for a dementia care home and 108 properties in a retirement care community by Sirrus Opac thermostatic shower valves. These TMV3-approved shower valves were specified for the Sandford Station development in north Somerset, which is owned and managed by the charity St Monica Trust.

Ian Joyner, head of facilities at the charity, explained, ‘The wellbeing of residents is of paramount importance, and quality and safety are requisites for all products specified in all our properties. The Sirrus Opac Shower provides us with the peace of mind that our residents will enjoy a safe showering experience.’

The Opac thermostatic level shower valve has a single sequential level control that is easy to operate. It also includes bold temperature markings and is TM3 approved, so will automatically shut off if the cold or hot water fails. Another benefit is the exposed isolation inlet, which can easily be accessed for maintenance.
