Crane valve assemblies help speed up Manchester refurbishment

Crane, Dominator, commissioning, valves

Over 800 Dominator valve assemblies from Crane Fluid Systems are being installed in the heating and cooling system of a major office development on Manchester’s Piccadilly Square. This order follows the success of 300 Dominator sets recently installed by M&E contractor SES in the nearby Piccadilly Place development, which includes a hotel, residential units, offices, retail space and car parking.

Dominator is a compact, prefabricated unit that combines a control valve, flow-measurement device, bypass valves, strainer and drain ready for simple and quick on-site connection to fan-coil units and other terminal units.

SES is working on the complete refurbishment of Rail House next to Piccadilly Station, which will be renamed Piccadilly Gate.

Dominator sets are being incorporated into prefabricated services modules assembled by SES in York. They are also being issued to Trox for incorporating into specially designed chilled beams.
