Hoare Lea’s Plymouth office has moved to new premises at Mills Bakery, Royal William Yard. The practice has maintained an office in Plymouth since 1951 and has 36 engineers, support staff and management personnel. The previous office was in the city centre, and the move was prompted by the need for more space and the opportunity to occupy prestigious offices with improved facilities more suited to an international firm of consulting engineers.

The 510 m2 office comprises open-plan workspace, two meeting rooms, cellular offices, a breakout and kitchen area and an on-site facility for secure archiving and storage.

Jerry Barnes, managing partner for the Plymouth office said, ‘We are incredibly enthusiastic about our move to Royal William Yard. The site offers a vibrant waterfront location, while the Mills Bakery building provides excellent commercial accommodation with balance between historic features and contemporary design. The new office will undoubtedly improve the working environment for our staff and the service and facilities we can offer to our clients.’

The move follows two other offers moves within the last 12 months in Birmingham and Leeds.
