Cross-talk sound attenuator

Schako, ventilation, cross talk

The Audix cross-talk sound attenuator from Schako provides effective ventilation while preventing the transmission of telephone sound. Made from galvanised sheet steel with an inner lining of sound-absorbing plates formed into a deflection labyrinth, Audix combines the functions of a slot diffuser plenum box with those of a cross-talk attenuator.

Such a design is beneficial where conventional cross-talk attenuators cannot be installed because of lack of space in the duct system or partition walls — saving on installation costs for separate sound absorbers or attenuators.

These attenuators are available with round or square connections for interior or exterior use. They can be installed in walls or double-floor systems, passive and active ventilation systems. When used with Schako slot diffusers, draught-free ventilation with long throws can be achieved.
