Grinnell launches control and balancing valves

Grinnell, control and balancing valves, commissioning

Grinnell Products has launched a new series of balancing valves. The CB800 series of double-regulating and commissioning and commissioning valves is designed for the precise and efficient balancing of hydronic heating or cooling systems. They are available in sizes from 1/2 to 12 in and backed by a 10-year warranty. There are five functions in one body — throttling, measurement of pressure and temperature, positive shut-off, draining and filling.

Accurate throttling is achieved by using a globe valve design, which also provides more precise flow measurement. A digital/vernier handwheel scale allows fine tuning to 70 positions, and built-in memory ensures return to the balanced position following shut-off.

The Y pattern minimises pressure drop across the valve, and the handwheel and test ports are on the same side for ease of access.. These valves can be installed horizontally or vertically.
