Weatherite updates hospital chiller system

Weatherite, chiller

A new chilled-water system for the surgical theatre areas at Hinchingbrooke Hospital in Cambridge has been installed by Weatherite Building Services to replace an obsolescent system that was far less energy efficient than current chillers.

The project included supplying and installing high-efficiency chillers and pumps in the general-surgery unit, along with all associated pipework and thermal insulation. Weatherite also carried out all the electrical work, provided a new control system and totally recommissioned the new chiller system.
