Technaflon flue put through its paces at racehorse stud

Faced with a high-level architectural chimney to provide the route for the flue from a condensing diesel-oil boiler, Atlantic Boilers’ Technaflon high-grade plastic condensing flue was installed to navigate the difficult route from boiler to chimney pot. This 40 kW condensing boiler was installed to provide a high-efficiency back-up for two ground-source heat pumps installed as part of the Moulton Stud in Newmarket.

These flues can be fitted to all oil, bio-diesel and gas-fired condensing boilers. They are precision made from PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride, which is highly resistant to corrosion, hard wearing and not affected by ultra-violet light.

The flues are installed without insulation. Flue gases cool rapidly, releasing heat to the building and increasing plant efficiency. Consulting engineers are Silcock Dawson of Bristol, with Allied Services of Newmarket responsible for installation work.
