Priva adds to the comforts of Skibo Castle

In control — the graphics capability of Priva’s small control systems enables management at Skibo Castle to control new boiler plant and heating systems easily and efficiently.
As part of the upgrading of the club house at Skibo Castle, a popular venue for celebrity weddings (including Madonna), a Priva HX4 system controlsl upgraded boiler plant and new radiator and underfloor heating systems. HX4 has been developed to manage such installations and was specified by Campbell Control Services. Although a small control, the HX4 comes with a graphics package as standard. Campbell Control Services took advantage of the boiler house being next to the office of the club secretary and connect the controller into the office PC, gaining access to the client’s intranet, enabling programs to be quickly and easily changed on screen and providing the management team with easy access to system information from their office elsewhere in the castle. The success of this installation has led to another controls contract at the castle’s spa. An HX8E will be used. It has advanced communications capability, so that it can be connected directly into the site’s Ethernet network.
