Climaveneta increases the efficiency of close control air conditioning

Climavenata, close control air conditioning

Climaventa’s i-Accurate range of close-control direct-expansion air-conditioning units have inverter-driven compressors to maximise energy efficiency at part load — which accounts for about 75% of normal operating time in such applications. Energy savings of up to 50% are indicated, compared with traditional on/off technology. These units are well suited to data centres and other business-critical areas.

Cooling capacities range from 7 to 90 kW. DC brushless inverter compressors are used up to 30 kW and AC inverters for higher capacities.

Further energy savings of about 15% are achieved using fans with EC electronic switching technology, which also reduces noise levels by 4 to 5 dB(A).

Like other models in the Accurate range, i-Accurate is designed to provide maximum sensible cooling, with a sensible heat ratio of at least 0.95.

More refrigerant bans possible, says government

The government could tighten up the rules that restrict the use of global warming refrigerant gases including speeding up phase-out programmes and introducing new bans, according to a spokesman from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA).

Baxi research suggests schools strongly support heat decarbonisation

A survey conducted by Baxi of 200 state school estates managers, consultant engineers and M&E contractors has found that while enthusiasm for Net Zero and support for low carbon heating systems in schools is thriving, persistent barriers remain.
