Raised-floor system has good acoustic properties

Kingspan, access floor

Kingspan’s Acoustideck raised-flooring system is designed to significantly reduce noise through party floors in commercial and domestic installations while providing easy access to pipes and cables in the floor void. The pedestal base houses a snap-on flexible thermo-plastic rubber pad to enhance acoustic performance. The finished floor height can be as low as 45 mm.

Acoustideck exceeds the impact sound requirements of Part E of the Building Regulations when used with an appropriate structural floor and ceiling construction.

The Acoustideck modular system comprises 600 mm-square flooring panels which can be removed individually or several at a time. Adjustable floor pedestals permit changes to floor height and allow for unevenness of the slab finish.
