Thermal imaging

Flir, thermal imaging

Flir has prepared a 68-page guide on the use of thermal imaging to see the thermal effect of building construction faults, making it easier to reduce carbon emissions. Problem areas are easily located in a single sweep of the camera, enabling appropriate remedial action to be taken.

The guide starts with a thorough grounding on the subject, with an overview of the science involved. It then looks at typical building applications and the inspection of wind-energy plant and solar plants.

There is advice on choosing the right camera followed by detailed guidance on performing an effective thermal inspection.

The guide is available as hard copy and a downloadable pdf.
