Hitachi adds to Set Free VRF air-conditioning

Hitachi, VRF air conditioning

Hitachi Air Conditioning & Refrigeration has added several new models to its Set Free range of mini outdoor units. These 2-pipe heat-pump VRF condensing units offer greater efficiency and improved COP. They can be connected to all Hitachi’s system-free indoor units. One outdoor unit can be connected to up to nine indoor units. There are single- and 3-phase units rated at 4, 5 and 6 hp.

DC inverter scroll compressors are teamed up with R410A to offer cooling capacities from 8 to 14 kW.

The Set Free Mini provides high levels of comfort and can eliminate cold draughts when using Hitachi’s CS Net Web controller’s off-coil limitation control feature. These units can interface easily with a building’s existing BMS.
