Plumber scores major success with LA-CO

LA-CO, plumbing, pipes
A profitable day’s work for plumber Glyn Butler as he receives a £2000 cheque for a LA-CO promotion. He is pictured with John Wright, BHL LA-CO brand manager, and Andy Evans, branch manager with Dougfield where he bought the winning pot.

In a promotion reminiscent of Roald Dahl’s ‘Charlie and the chocolate factory’, a plumber has won £2000 by finding a wining token at the bottom of a pot of LA-CO soldering flux. Glyn Butler won one of the 53 prizes in the ‘Pot of gold’ promotion on special packs of this soldering paste distributed to merchants by Brian Hyde.

Glyn Butler bought his flux from the Treforest branch of Dougfield merchants in south Wales.

The promotion included a second prize of £1000, third prize of £250 and several £25 prizes.
