Toshiba looks forward to third year of growth

Toshiba Air Conditioning has reported growth in UK sales for both 2010 and 2011 — assisted by the launch of the SMMSi 2-pipe VRF system, which is claimed to have the highest seasonal efficiency in the industry. That launch is to be followed soon by the introduction of the SHRMi 3-pipe VRF and important new additions to the popular ESTIA heat-pump range.

Growth was helped by the appointment last year of wholesaler Climate Center to the UK distribution network, adding 47 branches to the already strong presence of Toshiba distributors across the UK.

Also due to be introduced soon is an online system for ordering spare parts. Toshiba will also be expanding its nationwide network of training centres — enabling customers to receive hands-on training in installation, commissioning and servicing of equipment.

Commercial director David Dunn says, ‘Toshiba is a strong and respected brand in the market with a reputation for innovation, high performance and reliability. We have been busy behind the scenes building our capability, and it is very pleasing to see this investment bearing fruit
