Tridium adds metering gateway to Niagara

Tridium, gateway, control, Niagara

Tridium has added a metering gateway to its Niagara software for building automation. The metering gateway is a web-based metering management tool that enables users to network together pulse or smart-energy meters. Controls engineers and original-equipment manufacturers can apply the metering gateway to a wide range of meters and controls protocols such as LonWorks, BACnet, Modbus etc.

Metering and sub-metering are the key to good energy monitoring and management. This metering gateway offers dashboard features to enable easy tracking of energy-use data by facilities managers or building owners.

Roger Woodward, managing director of Tridium UK, says, ‘The metering gateway is easy to deploy and use. Our aim has been to put the data from energy meters into a form that can be used to help manage energy and reduce utility bills. The gateway is easily programmable, so it can be applied in retrofits as well as new buildings.’
