Ex-Or expands Connect lighting-control range

Ex-Or, lighitng control

Ex-Or has expanded its Connect Digital range of lighting connection modules (LCMs) with the addition of hard-wired modules with four and eight channels of controls. With all the functionality of the CDW12U5 intelligent connection centre, these modules are designed for greater mounting flexibility. For example, if there is not a false ceiling, they can be installed in an equipment cabinet or mounted on a DIN rail.

The 4-channel modules can be used for controlling loads on different phases, so controlled lighting is still provided if a standby generator kicks in after a mains failure. Only one module is needed for any location, compared with the traditional requirement for two separate modules.

The 8-channel module has one volt-free channel to provide seamless integration with all types of BMSs. For example, the LCM can detect the absence of occupants and not only turn off or dim lighting but also adjust air conditioning or heating.

These modules can be easily upgraded in the field to provide future proofing as lighting needs change and the building use changes.
