CP offers miniature PIR detectors for lighting

CP Electronics, PIR, lighting, control

CP Electronics’ series of HS PIR (passive infra-red) miniature presence detectors is designed for the automatic control of incandescent, fluorescent and compact-fluorescent lighting systems. Their functionality is fully programmable using CP’s UHS5 or UNLCDHS IR handsets.

These sensors are available in three options: premium; direct dim for DALI or DSI digital dimming ballasts; and analogue dim for variant control 1 to 10 V dimming ballasts.

The sensor turns the load on when movement is detected and off after an adjustable time-out period. Sensors can be mounted inside light fittings or next to them, using fixing clips.

The standard version has a 10 A relay and a connection for an external switch that can be used to turn on the load when absence detection has been set, or raised with dimming variants.

A compact slim-line version can be mounted on a luminaire where a 2 A relay is sufficient and the power supply does not require connections for external switches.
