Structured cabling has round connectors

Wieland, structured cable, cable management

A 6-pole structured wiring system from Wieland Electric has a patented coding system for different applications and round connectors to minimise space requirements and facilitate installation through firewalls. Metalynx2 is available in 20 and 32 A ratings and uses a minimal number of components that all lock together for secure installation in compliance with relevant standards.

Applications include power distribution, lighting control (including DALI and KNX) and fan-coil units. Metalynx2 components can be customised for special projects. The inherent flexibility of the system enables changes to an installation to be achieved with minimum downtime.

This system is available in armoured metal conduit or plastic flexible tube with master distribution boxes having up to nine circuit outlets/ports. For ease of installation, an earth clamp bonds to the conduit. A patented cable grip prevents strain being transferred to contact pins.

Other components include an H distribution block, T piece, switched modules for PIR, one-way switching applications and a fused spur for fixed power supplies.
