Megaman lights airport bar and restaurant
Megaman Liliput compact fluorescent lamps have been used throughout the new Meriden Bar & Restaurant at Birmingham Airport run by SSP. They were specified by Vivid Lighting as they offer a discreet light source within a compact fitting. They are claimed to be the world’s smallest energy-saving lamps and are available with B22 and E27 bases. They are suitable for retrofitting to luminaires originally designed for GLS lamps.
Lamps are available in wattages from 8 to 30 W and have a life of 10 000 to 15 000 h.
A specially designed integral lamp protects inserted between the arcs of the tubes ensures there is no direct contact between the surfaces of the tubes. This feature overcome fragility problems previously associated with conventional ultra-compact energy-saving lamps with the tubes located close together.
