Marco specification forms part of Treloar ‘vision’

Marco’s Elite uPVC trunking has been used in a large-scale extension at Treloar School & College in Hampshire for disabled children. It was installed by electrical contractor Baudelaire. There was a requirement to meet DDA compliance, which was achieved with a grey centre lid.

The Treloar Trust provides education, care, therapy, medical support and independent training to young people with special needs from the UK and overseas. This redevelopment for part of Treloar’s vision that will see up to £20 million invested in new college facilities.

Paul Sawyer, a director with Baudelaire, said, ‘This was a complex 2-stage project that become challenging as we began to look at accessible routes across the building. The design was altered, and throughout these changes we were able to use the Marco Elite 3 uPVC trunking, which allowed us to meet all the bends and various gradients for the power and data cable distribution requirements.’
