Preston homes warm to Broag

Preston
400 houses in Preston have already been fitted with Remeha combi condensing boilers as part of a renewal programme to upgrade the provision of heating and hot water
The first phase of a renewal programme to provide up-to-date heating and hot-water for Preston City Council’s domestic accommodation has been completed with the installation of over 400 Remeha Selecta combi condensing boilers. These fully modulating high-efficiency boilers replace a variety of existing domestic systems, including gas fires, immersion heaters and storage heaters. They were installed by Emcor Drake & Scull of Manchester as partners with Preston’s housing services. These boilers are designed for space-saving installation on a wall. They use a fully modulated micro-processor control system to achieve a gross efficiency of up to 109.2% at 40/30°C. Modulated outputs are 4 to 16 kW for heating and 4 to 24 kW for domestic hot water. A premix burner ensures very low emissions.
