Examining the benefits of variable-speed drives

CD
The benefits and application of variable-speed drives for HVAC applications can be examined using this new CD-ROM from Danfoss.
Danfoss has prepared a CD-ROM that provides comprehensive guidance on the control and application of AC drives in the HVCA sector. HVAC Planet is available free and supersedes the HVACity CD. The new disc examines 13 applications from VAV and CAV air-control mechanisms for car parks and clean rooms. Within each application, past and current methods of achieving efficient control are examined, energy profiles compared and tips for best installation practice provided. The disc has numerous case studies, with photographic detail, of installations across the HVAC spectrum — but with an emphasis on hotels and commercial building. Danfoss is also making available revised software for calculating energy savings, VLT Energy Box. This software enables the user to create project reports and proposals, with illustrated energy savings, for fan and pump applications. www.danfoss.com/drives
