LABC Registers Detail status for Kooltherm pipe insulation

Kingspan Tarec, pipe insulation, Kooltherm, LABC

Kingspan Tarec’s Next Generation Kooltherm pipe insulation has LABC (Local Authority Building Control) Registered Detail status, and is claimed to be the only pipework with this registration. To obtain the status, Kingspan Tarec submitted technical details and third-party accreditation to the LABC. The application was assessed, considering all aspects of physical and thermal properties, to confirm that the product complies with Building Regulations in its particular end-use application.

The registration means the local authorities in England and Wales do not have to repeat this assessment, streamlining the Building Control checking and approval process.
