Tate Britain unveils Grundfos Pumps
At the heart of the new M&E system for the £45 million redesign of Tate Britain behind its retained classical facade is a complete pump solution from Grundfos. The pump solution plays a key role in delivering the accurate and consistent internal temperatures that are required. Pumps from the TPE single-stage, inline, centrifugal volute pumps serve heating and cooling systems.
This was a particularly challenging project as the weight of the pumps when installed would have been too heavy for the plant-room floor. A specially supported configuration was designed to overcome this problem.
The demand for water services is met by a Grundfos Hydro MPE-C 4-pump booster set.
The revamped Tate Britain has new galleries and educational space. Additional space has been opened up on the upper and lower floors.
