Under starter’s orders for the Rehau ‘Ground National’

Rehau, GSHP, heat pump, ground source, renewable energy

Contractors looking to get ahead in ground-source heat pumps can register for two events organised by pipework specialist Rehau to provide expert help and advice. Dubbed the ‘Ground Nationals’, the events are being held at Newbury Racecourse on 29 April and Doncaster Racecourse on 1 May.

Steve Richmond, business team manager for the company’s renewables division explains, ‘With the increase in the Renewable Heat Incentive for the non-domestic sector at the end of 2013 and the introduction of a domestic RHI this spring, there has been a surge in interest in ground source because it offers such low running costs compared to other renewable heating technologies.’

The days will include short presentations from experts in the sector, followed by practical demonstrations using Rehau’s range of pipework, fittings, manifold chambers and ground-source energy probes.

On the social side, there will be challenges and competitions, with lots of chanced to win race-day tickets.
