Remote meter-reading system sends e-mails

Meters UK has developed an automatic standalone meter-reading system that works via e-mail. It is designed as a low-cost solution to receive meter readings for companies where a building-management system is too costly but there is still a need to read meters remotely.

Kalina sends e-mails using an existing broadband connection. It can read three meters of any type. A number of Kalina units can be grouped using a broadband router, enabling many more meters to be read.
