Ventilation hygiene

HVCA has released new guidance on good practice on the internal cleanliness of ventilation systems. The association says that adherence to the standards in TR/19 will provide clear and detailed proof that the ventilation system in a building is safe and well maintained, which is vital for securing adequate insurance cover. The guide also details further improvements that can be made to best-practice standards, with particular reference to kitchen extract systems. This new guide draws on the very extensive experience of HVCA members and has been written to meet the need for in-depth best practice advice. www.hvca.org.uk
