Accumulator vessels overcome water-supply issues at Norfolk hotel

GAH
Water-pressure problems in a well regarded small hotel in Norfolk have been overcome using accumulator vessels from GAH Heating Products.
To overcome problems of keeping water pressure constant, Morston Hall, a hotel on the north Norfolk coast, has installed a Dualstream water-control system. It has been designed to feed the large bathrooms of this 7-bedroom hotel, maintaining the water pressure and flow to all the water outlets. The installation comprises four model 500 accumulators and two 500 litre unvented cylinders — all installed in the loft. The result is that if all the hotel’s 55 taps are on at the same time, the pressure and water volume stays constant, and the water remains hot. If all guests now have a shower at the same time, water pressure is not affected or flow rate compromised. The accumulator vessels store mains water at incoming pressure, and this stored water becomes the engine that drive the hot/cold inlets to provide a volume of water that would not be delivered by a normal unvented system. When taps are turned on and water is used, the accumulator vessel is filled by the incoming mains, enhancing the volume feeding both the cylinder and cold supplies to all outlets — giving an outstanding performance to multiple outlets.
