Trimble acquires Amtech

Software specialist Amtech Group is now part of Trimble Navigation of the USA following its acquisition. Amtech’s software for the building-services sector includes LuckinsLive, Enterprise Estimating, ProDesign, NES and ArtrA. The integration of Amtech’s software solutions with Trimble’s office and field solutions will enable a compelling set of dedicated MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) workflows and productivity solutions.

Tim Holland, Amtech’s chief financial officer, said, ‘Amtech’s solutions are dedicated to improving the productivity of the building contractor and engineer. By combining Amtech’s office solutions with Trimble’s depth of workplace productivity solutions — including field layout, scanning, mobility and more — we are excited to provide an even greater integrated office workflow for the building contractor and engineer.

Pat Bohle, general manager of Trimble's MEP division, said, ‘With the addition of Amtech, Trimble continues to reinforce its goal of providing a complete portfolio of building construction solutions while strengthening our commitment to meet the unique needs of the European MEP market.

‘Amtech's strength lies in its ability to offer localised content and pricing information combined with construction software while providing users with intuitive work processes for optimal efficiency and productivity in the office.’
