Business park is entirely powered by solarPV

SolarPV, renewable energy

James Cannon, director of Ransom Wood Estates, shows off the 1.2 ha solar farm at Wood Business Park, Mansfield, which was officially switched on by Dr Patrick Candler, CEO of Sherwood Forest Trust on Earth Day 2015 (22 April), making the business park self sustaining for power.

There are over 2000 solarPV panels that can provide up to 450 kW of electricity.

There are 7000 m2 of occupied office space, a restaurant and a nursery, all of which will be powered by the solar farm.
