Turbocor chiller uses HFO refrigerant

Climaveneta’s TECS2-HFO range of chillers use Turbocor compressors and a fourth-generation HFO refrigerant with a low GWP — HFO 1234ZE with a GWP of around seven, compared with 1430 for R134a and boosting efficiency by around 3%.

These chillers are available as air- or water-cooled versions from 340 to 1365 kW. Water-source units can also be selected in heat-pump configuration.

The innovative design reduces pressure drops and complete refrigerant evaporation.
