WEMS in Latin America

WEMS, Wireless Energy Management Systems Ltd, BMS, BEMS, building management systems

WEMS (Wireless Energy Management Systems Ltd) has reported its largest-ever order. It is for a company in Mexico and was placed by its newest value-added reseller PointVerde, based in Mexico City. The order is seen as a major step forward in the development of the WEMS business in the Latin American region.

PointVerde is an energy-efficiency and facilities-management company with customers in retail, education and hospitality across Mexico, Colombia, Peru and the Dominican Republic.

The company provides energy-saving technology and systems to improve energy performance for its clients’ properties. Once energy savings have been achieved, the cost savings are shared.

Following nine months of evaluation alongside other technologies, including a proof-of-concept installation managed by WEMS in Cancun, Mexico, PointVerde opted for WEMS as its wireless controls solution of choice for all its clients’ facilities. The company has initially committed to a roll-out of a WEMS solution of over a hundred stores in the first year alone.
