Locking out for electrical safety

Martindale, electrical safety, safety locks, locking off devices

Martindale has introduced professional locking-off devices and kits for miniature circuit breakers and fuse holders. They provide simple and reliable solutions to ensure circuit breakers have been de-energised and properly isolated prior to maintenance and modifications of plant and equipment, in accordance with HSG85, the ‘Electricity at work regulations’.

The LokKit6 includes everything needed to lock off and label Red Spot or similar fuse holders as part of a safe isolation procedure. It is easily adjustable to fit fuse holders from 20 to 100 A, providing a one-size-fits-all solution.

Martindale has also extended its range of devices for locking off circuit breakers. The latest device is the extra-slim Lok7 for applications where space is very limited. The device solves the problem of locking off RCBOs with a prominent test button and applications where access to the breaker has been restricted to prevent accidental disconnection.
