Wieland Electric’s Metalynx2 structured wiring system has been installed for the distribution of all power and lighting throughout the refurbished Halley House Primary School in east London. The system was specified by electrical contractor Etech Southern, which designed an installed the complete electrical infrastructure in accordance with the EFA output specification. The lighting system was stripped out and replaced with a DALI lighting control system to comply with Part L.

The renovation was split into two phases, The Metalynx2 system enabled Etech Southern to maximise productivity on site as the product is pre-wired and pre-tested at Wieland’s factory and simply plugged together on site.

Compared to traditional installation methods, connection time on site can be reduced by 70%.
