Circular cassette complements design of Starbucks branch

Samsung, air conditioning, cassette, circular cassette

Samsung Electronics’ recently introduced 360° air-conditioning cassette with a circular diffuser delivers air conditioning for a new Starbucks franchise in Emsworth, Hampshire. It was the first installation of this unit by DCI Refrigeration & Electrical.

The design of this Starbucks branch incorporates a spherical theme, so it was appropriate to install circular cassettes rather than square units. There are circular lighting fittings on the wall and a prominent compass image on one of the walls.

The 360° cassettes uses small fans rather than blades to direct the airflow, creating an even air flow and avoiding cold draughts. Different quantities of air can be supplied in different directions.

Since this project, Starbucks has installed circular units in its Ringwood branch, and there is the potential for the unit to be installed in more branches.
