Entries for the Building Controls Industry Association Awards close on 21st December 2018, so there is still time to enter. 

The categories include Technical Innovation of the Year for Products and Projects; as well as Engineer and Young Engineer of the Year. There are also the Independent Controls and BEMS Installer of the Year or Best Service and Maintenance Provider categories to enter.

Previous winners include Demand Logic, Sontay, Detail Design Engineering and E.ON Control Solutions.

More refrigerant bans possible, says government

The government could tighten up the rules that restrict the use of global warming refrigerant gases including speeding up phase-out programmes and introducing new bans, according to a spokesman from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA).
