Ambi-Rad acquires Sonning Heating

Ambi-Rad has expanded its capabilities in radiant heating with the acquisition of Sonning Heating for an undisclosed sum. Sonning radiant heaters use hot air to deliver highly effective heat in large-space buildings. Ambi-Rad’s expertise is direct combustion. Managing director Mike Brookes says, ‘The acquisition of Sonning is a strategic move for Ambi-Rad, giving us a broader product offering with significant development potential and increased added value for customers. Our products and sales sectors are an excellent fit, providing a strong platform from which to grow both companies organically.’

More refrigerant bans possible, says government

The government could tighten up the rules that restrict the use of global warming refrigerant gases including speeding up phase-out programmes and introducing new bans, according to a spokesman from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA).
