UK manufacturer reports one-third-plus increase in sales

Diffusion, a UK manufacturer of commercial heating and cooling products, has announced a 38% increase in sales this year compared with the same period last year. The company reports particular increases in orders for fan coils and commercial heating products. Specialist custom-designed and manufactured products are also reported to be out-stripping sales forecasts and demand. Leigh Stimpson says, ‘We believe that the whole of the manufacturing industry which supplies the building-services market has had a rough ride for the last 12 months. Our own sales figures show a very encouraging upswing, which we believes reflects a greater amount of activity in the M&E contracting market. ‘We have launched some new products which have been well received, but it is our bread-and-butter product that is moving quickly out of the door.’
