EPS Page wins new Canary Wharf contract

EPS Page has secured a third consecutive phase of a contract for the mechanical fit-out of new premises for Morgan Stanley at Canary Wharf. This latest contract brings to £2.4 million the value of work in the 13-storey HQ1 at 20 Bank Street in Canary Wharf. The first contract for EPS on floors nine, 10 and 11 has been completed. Work is in progress on floors 12 and 13. The new contract is for floors one to three. Bovis Lend Lease is the developer, and EPS page is undertaking the installation and commissioning of mechanical and plumbing services throughout the building.

More refrigerant bans possible, says government

The government could tighten up the rules that restrict the use of global warming refrigerant gases including speeding up phase-out programmes and introducing new bans, according to a spokesman from the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA).
