CentraLine campaign wins industry marketing award

Presentation
Uwe Schlenker of Honeywell Building Controls EMEA (centre) has won a major industry marketing award for launching and developing CentraLine, a Europe-wide brand for energy-efficient networked HVAC system automation in small and medium-sized buildings. The Frank Dennis, OBE, marketing award is sponsored by the Federation of Environmental Trade Associations. It was presented by FETA director Cedric Sloan (left) and Doug Robins, president of FETA member group Building Controls Industry Association. His citation explained the branding exercise which he led and which within 18 months resulted in CentraLine being established in 14 European markets and supplied through 130 independent control-system specialists, called ‘partners’. UWE Schlenker was responsible for developing a distinctive design style, selecting suitable promotional media and identifying new niche markets. All promotion leads to CentraLine City at www.centraline.com — where visitors are presented with an animated landscape of various buildings that they can click onto and see the benefits and components of a CentraLine system for that building type.
