Inviron’s Manchester police contract is extended

Inviron’s contract with Equion to be its M&E maintenance partner at 16 police stations in Greater Manchester has been extended for another year. Last year, the north west business of Inviron Building Systems completed a £14.5 million contract with Greater Manchester Police Authority for the complete M&E installation at the stations, including lighting, heating, CCTV and fire alarms. Over the last three years, Inviron’s National Building Service business took over the maintenance of each station as the M&E installation was completed. This contract extension includes maintenance of heating, ventilation and air conditioning, lighting and emergency lighting, CCTV, fire alarm, intruder alarms, door access, barriers, sewerage and drainage and small-power works. Inviron will also carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance at the stations. Two full-time engineers will be responsible for the sites, with additional support from their local mobile team if required.
