Water-heating system meets renewable challenges

Elson’s Coral Eco package is designed to simplify the use of renewable energy for schemes such as apartment blocks or clusters of bungalows. The starting point is the Coral E electric water-heating package, which uses off-peak tariffs to store hot water. This thermal store is used to heat incoming cold mains water. What makes Coral E into an Eco unit is the addition of plate heat exchangers and controls to preheat the incoming cold mains using renewable energy as ground- or air-source heat pump from centralised plant.
