Commissioning modules save time for hospital project

The use of 12 Tour & Andersson commissioning modules in a new building for a hospital in Lancashire has more than halved commissioning time.
Substantial reductions in both installation and commissioning time have been achieved in a project at Calderstone’s Hospital in Lancashire using Tour & Andersson’s TA-HUB to provide centralised balancing of several terminal units at a time. 12 units have been installed in the new medium secure unit to achieve time savings of at least 20% for installation and over 50% for commissioning. They have from four to eight ports per unit with a STA/STAD differential-pressure control valve and STAV commissioning valves to each terminal. Test points on each terminal make pre-commissioning much simpler. This concept of prefabricated commissioning modules is supported by TA Select 3 software to aid the design of efficient waterborne systems by specifying the correct valves for individual requirements.
