NEF expands sustainable training courses

The National Energy Foundation has expanded its training programme as more organisation look for cost-effective ways to reduce their carbon footprint and energy costs as fuel prices continue to rise. Building on the success of its first course, ‘Renewable energy in your buildings’, NEF now delivers a number of courses in sustainable energy as part of its CPD programme from its headquarters in Milton Keynes and further afield. The standard training programme covers an introduction to renewable energy, Solar thermal, ‘Energy in your organisation’ and wood-fuel heat and CHP. NEF also reports that its bespoke training offer is becoming increasingly popular. Training is centred around a client’s needs and can be delivered on almost any sustainable-energy topic and range from a lunchtime seminar to an event extending over several days. Sandra Hayes, who heads the training programme, says, ‘We have found that as organisations become more energy aware that there has been a steady increase in the number of enquiries about our bespoke training.’ More information from grace.hyson@nef.org.uk
