Contributing to the refurbishment of this youth hostel in Swiss Cottage is a custom-built rig from Keston to provide heating and DHW.
Keston Boilers has supplied a custom-built modular rig to provide energy-efficient and cost-effective heating and DHW for the refurbishment of Palmers Lodge youth hostel, a Victorian Grade 2 listed building in Swiss Cottage, London. This rig incorporates four C55 boilers that can be operated separately or simultaneously to deliver up to 220 kW. These boilers are SEDBUK A rated. They are up to 98% efficient with very low NOx emissions. The building dates from around 1880 but fell derelict in 1995. Substantial refurbishment by Harvestglen Properties has restored the 1860 m2, 50-room building to its former glory and incorporates many original features in the new design. Frank Zahab, who owns Harvestglen Properties, specified Keston boilers based on experience of some 15 Keston units in other properties. Keston rigs are delivered to site pre-assembled and pre-piped. They include an integral weather compensator. All rigs are built to order with a quick service from order to delivery.
