Micromark’s MM5573 carbon-monoxide alarm is extremely simple to install — just plug it into a 13 A socket. A battery-operated model is also available (MM80777). The mains version shows a red alarm light and sounds a horn when carbon monoxide is detected. The battery version has three coloured lights (green, red and amber) to indicate battery life, carbon-monoxide level and fault. It is tamperproof.
