Simple approach to controlling airflow

Trox’s VFC volume flow controller provides a cost-effective way of delivering a preset volume of air irrespective of varying system pressure. The required air volume is set by adjusting a dial on the side of the unit and can be carried out after installation. These controllers can be used to automatically commission air-distribution systems and are sufficiently sensitive to be used with air-duct velocities down to 2 m/s. An actuator can be easily installed with ‘clip-on’ technology to convert a VFC into a variable-volume unit. A differential pressure of just 20 Pa is required to activate the damper mechanism. These controllers have a high control accuracy and are available in three different configurations and six sizes from 80 to 250 mm. The standard lip seal makes for a simple push-fit air-tight connection.
